How much does window screen replacement cost?
Our prices are flat and published: window rescreening (new mesh in your existing frame) is $45 per screen booked online, and a completely new custom screen is $65. Sliding doors run $99, pet-resistant doors $120, solar screens $55, and retractable systems $650–$1,100. The price we quote is the price you pay — materials, on-site fabrication and the visit included.
Do I need to measure my windows before booking?
No. Eyeball it — that’s genuinely all we need to quote you. Tell us roughly how many screens and what kind (windows, sliding doors, anything unusual), and we take exact measurements on-site before building anything.
How does the mobile service actually work?
We bring frame stock, mesh rolls and a fabrication table to your home. Each screen is measured against its actual window, built in the driveway, and installed the same visit. Most homes are finished in a few hours; a single rescreen takes about 10–15 minutes.
Rescreening or a whole new screen — which do I need?
If your aluminum frame is straight and the corners are solid, rescreening ($45) is the honest answer. If the frame is bent, cracked or racked out of square, you need a new screen ($65). We assess on sight and tell you which — we don’t upsell frames that don’t need replacing.
What screen materials do you use?
Charcoal black fiberglass mesh from Phifer and BetterVue on aluminum frames as standard. Upgrades: TuffScreen pet-resistant mesh (about seven times stronger), No-See-Um fine weave for tiny insects, and solar mesh for heat control.
What is the best replacement window screen material?
It depends on the job: fiberglass is the affordable, rust-proof standard; aluminum mesh is more rigid; pet-resistant vinyl-coated polyester handles claws; solar mesh cuts heat; fine No-See-Um weave stops the smallest insects. We stock all of them on the truck and advise per window.
Which areas do you serve?
Los Angeles, San Diego (home base), Orange County and Sacramento. San Diego gets the fastest response; the other areas run as weekly mobile routes. Booking takes about a minute and we call back to confirm your slot.
How fast can you come out?
In San Diego, same-week is normal and same-day happens regularly. LA, Orange County and Sacramento are routed weekly, so most visits land within days. Tell us "ASAP" when you book and we’ll fit you into the nearest route.
Is there a warranty or guarantee?
Fit-right guarantee — every screen is built on-site to fit perfectly. If it doesn’t, we come back and make it right. That covers fit and workmanship on every job, from a single rescreen to a full retractable system.
Do you do commercial properties?
Yes — we’ve completed 27+ commercial jobs alongside residential work: apartment turnovers, offices, rental portfolios. Volume pricing applies; call or send the quote form with the unit count.
How do I pay, and is booking online really cheaper?
Yes — the discounted prices on this site apply when you book online. We confirm everything by phone before the visit, and you pay after the work is done and you’ve checked every screen.
My pet keeps destroying the screen door. What actually helps?
Pet screen. TuffScreen mesh is roughly seven times stronger than standard fiberglass and shrugs off claws and nose-punches. It’s $120 on a sliding door and ends the rescreen-every-summer cycle. We can also install screen-mounted doggie doors.
