Retractable Screen — Double / French Doors
Two retractable panels that meet in the middle of a French doorway — full-width fresh air, zero visible screen when stowed. Built on-site at your home, backed by our fit-right guarantee.
French doors, finally screened properly
Double and French doorways are the openings homeowners most want screened and the ones fixed panels serve worst — a hinged pair with a center meeting point leaves nowhere sensible for a standard screen to live. A double retractable system solves it with two mirrored housings, one on each jamb. The panels pull across and meet magnetically in the middle; released, both vanish and your doorway is all glass and daylight again.
We measure both leaves, set the housings plumb, and tune the meeting point so the seal is tight and the pull is light. Color-matched housings keep the hardware quiet against the frame.
The whole-wall-open feeling
A screened double doorway changes how the house lives in summer: both doors thrown open, a six-foot column of evening air moving through, and nothing bug-shaped coming with it. It’s the single biggest airflow upgrade on our price list.
Like all retractables, the mesh spends its off-hours rolled away from sun and weather, which is why these systems age so much more gracefully than fixed panels in the same doorway.
What it costs
A double-door retractable system is $1,100 installed when booked online ($1,199 by phone) — both housings, measurement, fitting and adjustment included. It’s our premium service, installed in a single visit, and covered by the same fit-right guarantee as a $45 rescreen: if it doesn’t fit perfectly, we come back and make it right.
